yama therapeutics certification programs

yama is a supporting member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and is committed to creating and upholding professional standards in the Yoga Therapy community. To that end we offer the yama therapeutics certification program.

The yama therapeutics Yoga Therapy certificate is conferred on a student who has completed all four of the yama therapeutics training programs for a total of 1000 training hours.

PLEASE NOTE: The Yoga programs require in-classroom contact hours. Distance Learning and hybrid programs follow certificate information. Distance Learning IS currently accepting students!:

1)Basic Yoga Teacher Training – 200-hr (Yoga Alliance registered) (9 month program-2 day weekends) $2595

2)Advanced Yoga Teacher Training/Beginning Yoga Therapy- 300 hour program to be taken upon completion of the 200 hour program for 500-hour certification (Yoga Alliance registered school) (9 month program-3 day weekends) $3595

3)Ayurvedic Wellness Educator 250-hour (Hybrid class available)
(5 month program) $1500

4)Meditation Arts Certification 250-hour (Hybrid class available)
(5 month program) $1500

All programs require a NON-REFUNDABLE $500 deposit at the time of registration. Payment plans can be arranged for the remainder of the tuition in most cases.

Students may begin with any of the disciplines (Yoga, Ayurveda or Meditation Arts) although the 200-hour Basic Yoga Teacher training must be completed before moving on to the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training/Yoga Therapy program.

TRANSFER STUDENTS-PLEASE NOTE: yama will accept students from other Yoga Alliance Registered schools’ 200 hour programs into the Advanced Yoga Teacher Training/Beginning Yoga Therapy program after completion of the yama therapeutics Yoga Therapy certificate to ensure they enter with the same body of knowledge as their yama matriculated peers.

Students who have satisfactorily completed individual programs will be awarded a certificate at the end of each specific training segment which grants them the privelege of use of all the tools they have learned in that training segment to provide group classes and/or individual sessions in the areas in which they have trained.

Students are advised to take the programs one at a time to allow the material to be appropriately assimilated. Please plan on an average of five years to gain your full yama therapeutics certification.
