Diane Finlayson Diane Finlayson is the owner of yama studio and the program director for the yama therapeutics Yoga Therapy Training progams. She has been practicing yoga & meditation for more than 20 years, is an E-RYT 500 through Yoga Alliance and holds a 1,000 hour Yoga Therapy certification from Integrative Yoga Therapy. She has trained extensively with Wise Earth school of Ayurveda founded by Swamini Mayatitananda (Formerly Maya Tiwari) and holds an Ayurvedic Health Educator certificate from David Frawley’s American Vedic Studies Institute. Diane offers asana, philosophy & meditation classes for yama at various Johns Hopkins University sites, trains Yoga teachers, Meditation facilitators and Ayurvedic Wellness Coaches for yama and Carroll Community College and leads workshops and retreats across the country.

Kathy AndersonKathy Anderson is an E-RYT 500. She holds her 200 hour certification with Integrative Yoga Therapy and went on to study wStructural Yoga Therapy with Mukunda Stiles. Kathy is part of the Carroll Community College training programs. She also offers teaches Yoga Philosophy courses at Frederick Community College and teaches Yoga and offers individual session work in Frederick.

Tammy Carr
As a military wife, mother of two teenagers,Tammy Carr, RYT 200 knows about the stress of daily life. Tammy is also a Girl Scout troop advisor and has designed yoga related programs specifically for the Girl Scouts. Tammy has a deep sense of mission when it comes to personal wellness from maintaining her 160 weight loss. She strives to educate and encourage her students to practice yoga to develop a deeper awareness of their body, mind and spirit and respect for themselves. Tammy feels by teaching others to grow from within she is planting the seeds for positive choices tomorrow.

Jeanne Deignan KosmidesJeanne Deignan Kosmides holds a BA in Special Education, is a Kripalu Yoga Teacher and a RYT 500. Additionally she is a Phoenix Rising Yoga Instructor, Positive Pregnancy Fitness Instructor, Childbirth Assistant and Doula. Jeanne is the mother of two children and Administrator at Waldorf School of Baltimore. With almost 30 years experience in yoga, meditation, nutrition and alternative healing Jeanne brings a broad and unique quality of experience, knowledge and nurturing support to her workshops. Jeanne co-facilitates the yama Meditation program and is part of the Carroll Community College training programs. She also offers Pre- & post-natal Yoga Teacher Training for yama. Christine GarrisonChristine Garrison teaches a gentle, flowing style of yoga that connects breath to movement. She has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years and is an RYT 500. She also studied dance for many years. She enjoys working with students of all ages and ability levels. Christine is a facilitator and mentor for the yama 200 Yoga Teacher Training team and keeps the on-line classroom running.

Tim HurleyTim Hurley teaches a gentle, nurturing style of Yoga that emphasizes personal empowerment, healing, and deep relaxation. Tim also teaches yoga in local nursing and rehabilitation facilities, as well as in retirement community settings. Tim is an RYT 500 and is part of yama’s Carroll Community College Yoga Teacher Training program and offers Individual Yoga Therapy

Jana LongJana Long, RYT 200, is an Integrative Yoga Therapy Yoga teacher, Level One Wise Earth Ayurveda & Nutrition, and a certified Yoga for Seniors Therapist. Jana creates innovative workshops that combine ancient cultural wisdoms with a therapeutic approach to mind/body/spirit wellness. She is a regular presenter at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies and the Yoga Retreat for Women of Color at Kripalu.

Katherine LundyKatherine Lundy strives to bring alignment and focus together with freedom and enthusiasm through a mixed style of yoga focused on balancing and increasing the flow of prana through body. McCloskeyweblog2Todd McCloskey, MAc, LAc, CZB is a graduate of TAI Sophia Institute and practices Five Element Acupuncture to address issues on the physical, mental and spiritual levels. In addition, he utilizes Zero Balancing, a form of bodywork that bridges the mind and body through touch. These healing practices are extremely effective for resolving long-standing issues as well as recent physical or emotional challenges. He works with those who are struggling with health difficulties, including debilitating pain and illness, as well as people seeking improved balance in their lives.

Ragan’s focus on slow, gentle movement combined with breath work reconnects body, mind and spirit and the mindful attention she encourages brings awareness to internal sensations that allow those in her classes to begin to trust their own inner wisdom for deeper relaxation and healing.
